Hello Room!

We used to live in my parents-in-law's house for two years and since we only have one room then, we let the kids, Champagne and Charlton sleep on the same bed with us. By the time we moved to our own house, the kids won't just sleep in their own respective rooms. I don't know if they are just scared or if they are just comfortable with us nearby but it is always a struggle every time we put them to sleep. In the end, its either they are in our room or someone is with them in Champagne's room. (Charlton's room is empty as they won't sleep separately)

Just last Sunday, though, I was able to talk Charlton to sleep in his room. I let someone sleep beside each of them as they are still afraid to sleep alone. I think it is a good start. At least, they are now sleeping in their own respective rooms. Just a little more time and they will be off sleeping alone. Kudos to them!

Inspired Beautiful Blogger

It does feel great when someone calls you beautiful.  How much more if you're given an award in that regard? Inspiring, right? That is exactly how I felt times four when four exceptionally beautiful bloggers namely Rhona,  Carina, Jheriz and Josie, EihdraG,  gave me the Beautiful Blogger award.  A million of thanks to the three of you.

Seven Things About Me:
1. I have three wonderful and adorable kids who makes me happy and crazy at the same time.
2. I am a certified Bisdak (Bisayang Dako). I was born and raised in the province of Cebu but I am now happily settled here in the province of South Cotabato with my own family.
3.  I am the eldest of five children.  I have 3 younger sisters and 1 brother.
4.  My parents are separated for more than ten years already and I am still hurting.
5.  I have been blogging for almost two years now.

Fluffy Friday #5: Goodbye Hershey

If you can remember my previous Fluffy Friday post about Hershey, she was so thin that time with fleas, ticks and worms. As you can see from the photos below which was taken just last Saturday, she looks healthier now and she has grown back her fluffy furs.

Sadly, though, she ran out of my MIL's gate last night towards the highway and was accidentally hit by a truck. Poor little Hershey died on the spot that we can do nothing to save her precious life. Rest in peace, Hershey, dearie!

Printer Predicament

I was really disappointed with my printer last night. Of all times, it chose to break down when I was in a hurry to print Champagne’s assignment. For awhile, I was at a loss on what to do. There is no internet café in the neighborhood. I have to go to the town proper to look for one but I can’t drive there using my car. Its projector headlights is just so dim that even if I have to open my eyes wide I still can barely see a thing in front of me. I can’t use hubby’s car because it has a manual transmission and I am not confident to drive it yet. I just can’t ask hubby to drive for me as he had a terrible headache and he really needed a rest. So I just tried repairing the printer myself but still to no avail. Only then have I decided to wait for morning.

I woke up early just to drive to town and print the required pictures. I was glad no problem aroused and I was able to hand it to Champagne just in time before she goes to school. I hate it when her teachers give them assignment such as this that needs to be submitted immediately. I also hate it when problems arouse and I just can’t do a thing. I just feel so useless. Anyway, I have to bring my printer to the technician today in case Champagne will have another assignment tonight. With regards to my car, I don’t know what to do it yet. Perhaps, I will ask hubby to change the projector headlights so I can drive at night. I hope it will be resolved soon.

One Year Old Baby Pregnant

I know I'm rather late but I just recently found out about this via Facebook.  I just can't believe how a one year old baby could get pregnant.  Oh, my! She's just a few months older than my own baby!  Anyway,t he first thing that came up on my mind upon reading the title was if she was raped.  How could a one-year old be raped and get pregnant when her body has not yet fully developed? So I did a little research and found out that it was a unique case where the mother was pregnant with twins but the other fetus grew inside the fetus.  I researched further and it was said that abortion was considered to save the baby's life. Poor, baby, I hope she survived.  Pardon me, I just can't find a story on what happened to her after wards but if you do, I would love to hear the story. Thanks!

We attended a birthday party a few days ago and there was a karaoke around. While the adults are busy catching up with each others' lives, the kids toyed with the karaoke. Champagne chose this song for Charlton to sing, but unfortunately, Charlton is not yet a fast reader and he is not familiar with the song. The only words we heard him sing were "yo yo ye ye yo yo ye". Hehehe. Happy Music Monday!

Eight Month Old Little Angel

Time surely flies fast. I know I have said this a hundredth time already, but I just can’t help it with a baby around. The more so now that I have adjusted again her crib. She used to sleep in an infant bed and on her second month I have to adjust it because she just won’t fit in there anymore. Approximately three weeks ago, I again adjusted it to a playpen since I found her trying to stand up and I was afraid she might topple over. Again, was it just yesterday when I gave birth to her?

As of today, she:

• Has mastered sitting without support of hands
• Has mastered grasping and holding on things for a long time. She can even drop or throw them
• Cannot crawl on all fours yet but can pull or drag herself like a military crawl or scoots across the floor on her bottom
• Raises her legs up and brings them over her chest and brings one foot to the mouth to bite the toenails
• Can easily maneuver herself to an upright-seated position from a back-lying position
• Rolls from front to back and back to front
• Pulls up to standing position from sitting position
• Stands while holding onto something and would sometimes release her hold
• Would just literally taste everything
• Claps hands together
• Bangs objects together
• Shout/shrieks for attention
• Feeds herself a cracker

By the way, I so love her convertible crib. You would know why just by looking at the pictures above. It could also be converted into a toddler bed which she can use until the age of 2-3 years old. Soon she would get rid of that crib and would get her own bed. Soon she would be going to school. Soon she would be enjoying her sweet 16 gifts. Soon she would be going to college. Soon she would be having a boyfriend. Soon she would get mar....  Oooops! Enough!  I don't want to think of that just yet.

A Tower of Numbers

I told Champagne to study and practice her arithmetic while I put Chezelle to sleep. When I returned to check on her, this is what I found. How would I get mad when I found this one cute? Perhaps, she got bored staring with the numbers so she decided to have fun with them. Well, whatever her reasons are, I just admire her patience in making this.
